Lark Dating, Inc.
You must be 18 or older to use Lark Dating. Age is the first control, not an afterthought: creating an account requires confirming you are 18 or older, and that confirmation is recorded with your consent rather than just shown to you. On the main signup path we store a date of birth rather than a number you typed once, so your age stays accurate as time passes, and any age or date of birth we hold is checked against an 18 and over floor before a profile can be saved. You may not create an account if you are under 18, and you may not create or manage one for anyone who is.
You may not post, send, request, link to, describe or trade child sexual abuse material or any content that sexualises a minor, and you may not use Lark Dating to groom, solicit, sextort or arrange to meet a minor, or to advertise, promote or normalise any of that. There is no warning and no appeal. The full prohibition, including the statutory duties we are bound by, is in our Acceptable Use Policy, and nothing on this page narrows it.
Every profile, pitch and conversation carries a flag icon. Tap it and choose Someone may be under 18. You do not need to have matched with someone to report them, and you can block them at the same time. You can also email support@larkdating.com from anywhere, including if you have already deleted your account. If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first. In the United States you can also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
A child safety report does not wait its turn. Where most reports are reviewed by a person and only hide an account once several unconnected people have raised it, a report that someone may be under 18 takes the account out of discovery immediately, on that one report, before any human has looked. Waiting for a second and third person to independently notice would mean leaving a suspected minor visible to adults in the meantime, and that is not a trade we are willing to make. A person then reviews it. If the account belongs to a minor, we remove it.
We remove the content, we terminate the account and any other account we can link to it, we report the matter to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as required by 18 U.S.C. 2258A, we preserve the associated records as that statute requires, and we cooperate fully with law enforcement. Our process for law enforcement requests, including emergency disclosures, is described on our Law Enforcement Guidelines page.
Questions about these standards, our prevention practices, or our compliance may be directed to team@larkdating.com. This is the contact we have given to Google Play for child safety matters, and it reaches a monitored inbox. It is not the fastest route for an urgent report: to report something you have seen, use the in-app flag or the addresses above.
We review these standards when the product changes in a way that touches them, and at least once a year. Where a commitment on this page describes something the app does, the app is what governs: if we ever change how reporting or enforcement works, this page changes in the same release.
